About Me: Manindra Kumar

My Story

Hello, and welcome to my digital lounge! I am Manindra Kumar, a PhD Research Scholar currently based at the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi.

While my professional life is dedicated to rigorous academic research in Commerce and Management, at my core, I am simply an easy-going, grounded individual who loves exploring the deeper questions of life. On this blog, I step away from purely empirical studies to write about philosophy, culture, and the everyday intricacies of human lives, sharing honest reflections aimed at connecting with readers on a personal level.

My Academic Journey

My passion for commerce and understanding human behavior in organizational settings has driven my academic path over the years. I have been fortunate to build a strong foundation through several milestones:

Doctoral Studies (Ph.D): I am currently pursuing my PhD at the Department of Commerce, Faculty of Commerce and Business, Delhi School of Economics. My research involves reviewing scholarly literature, designing surveys, and analyzing data to better understand organizational behaviour.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil): I completed my M.Phil at the Delhi School of Economics between January 2022 and April 2023.
Master of Commerce (M.Com): Prior to my M.Phil, I earned my M.Com from the Delhi School of Economics, attending from August 2018 to September 2020.
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): My foundational undergraduate studies were completed at Ramjas College, University of Delhi, from July 2015 to May 2018.
Early Education: I completed my Intermediate studies at DAV Public School in Patna.

What I Do

Research: I carry out empirical research using established social science tools and methodologies to contribute to the broader academic conversation.
Teaching & Mentorship: I actively assist my research supervisor by conducting tutorial sessions and providing teaching-related support to students in the program.
Writing: Beyond my academic papers, I write blogs that explore diverse topics ranging from culture to personal philosophy.

Originally from Bihar, I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Bhojpuri. I believe in keeping things simple and approaching life with a calm, honest perspective. Whether I am analyzing complex data sets for my doctoral work or writing a reflective piece on human culture, my ultimate goal is the same: advancing knowledge and adding value to the world around me.
